Drop and Shop, from Ireland

Three first year students, Katelin Conway, Chelsea Laing and Kellie Hastings, at Jesus and Mary secondary school, Enniscrone, Ireland were involved in a ‘Drop and Shop’ campaign, on the 21^st of April.

This was an all-Ireland campaign organised by ‘Friends Of The Earth’ to encourage shops and suppliers to use less plastic packaging. Our students encouraged costumers to drop their plastic in a bin provided and sign a petition.

The costumers of our three local supermarkets were very positive and supportive.

The local Enniscrone Tidy Towns Committee also helped.
