St.  Raphael Catholic Church is an out station of St Denis, it is a small Christian community, located at the water- side area of Bariga Lagos. There are usually two masses on Sundays. The first mass is by 7.00am which is said in English. It is mainly attended by those who understand English. While the second mass is for the local indigenes, and it is celebrated in the local dialect, Egbun and sometimes the celebrating priest relies on the help of a translator. Apart from the two masses on Sunday, Other liturgical activities take place at the main parish church in St Denis. We the Rjm collaborate in this mission also. A sister goes there every Sunday and other special days to attend mass and assist the priest in communion distribution and this permit us to interact with the people. RJM Working for South Sudan Yudith Pereira, a Spanish RJM, is currently serving as Associate Executive Director of SOLIDARITY with SOUTH SUDAN , a coalition of religious communities working together to help and support this newest member of the family of nations. South Sudan gained independence in 2011 after decades of civil war and conflict, conflict which was re-ignited in 2013, and continues today. Shortly after independence, the international unions of men and women religious called on their members to come together and pool resources of finance and personnel to help meet the pressing needs of a beleaguered people. From this, Solidarity with South Sudan was born, a project supported today by over 260 religious communities. Different congregations of both men and women are working together, in five sites in the country, to address needs in health care, education, pastoral care, and agriculture. Un grupo de jó venes religiosas de América están en Bolivia, en su preparación a los votos perpetuos.  El lema de su encuentro es :  “Caminando, entretejemos la vida.” En estos días, hicieron un taller sobre JPIC, acompañadas por la hna. Celestina Bascopé RJM. Ellas comparten sus experiencias: Casa de la Comunidad " El martes 15 partimos rumbo a Kami,  un pueblo rodeado de montañas, a 6 horas de viaje de la ciudad de Cochabamba. Nos recibieron con mucho cariño nuestras hermanas Celestina RJM, Lía RJM, y María Isabel RJM; allí atienden  el colegio y un internado de chicas, que en este tiempo están de vacaciones. Por la tarde iniciamos junto con Celestina RJM el taller JPIC. A  través de la oración nos invitó a tomar conciencia de nuestro lugar en la Creación y el vínculo que nos une a ella.
