The ICSE Section carried forward one of our Priorities- “ LIVING A LIFE COMMITTED TO JUSTICE, PEACE AND THE INTEGRITY OF CREATION ” as June 19 th 2018    was devoted to an organized Slogan Making’ activity for the students of Grades I-IV.   Focus on the environment was sustained, by eliciting the fact that ‘ man requires earth more than earth requires man’ . The significance of protecting the Earth was brought out indeed very meaningfully.  Students penned various slogans pondering over the issues threatening the life of the environment around us.   It also helped students to look at nature with mercy and compassion resulting in a desire to protect its beauty and restore its harmony. To protect environment we adopted three methods Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. a) Plastic – to reduce practice, the students made eco-bricks from plastic bags filling the plastic bottles. These plastic bags filled bottles will be used as bricks to build toilets. b) Reuse – The parents were asked to use paper bags or cloth bags to buy their vegetables, groceries, etc. and not to use glossy papers to wrap their gifts.   c) Recycle -  The students made Christmas tree from used plastic bottles.  Awareness programme – Children were taken to Art and Craft exhibition where the renowned artists had made art work from waste material at the Kala Ghoda festival.

C elebrating the road safety campaign was initiated by the ISS India HSE (Health Safety and Environment) in order to make people aware about the national road safety in the Indian subcontinent. The aim of this campaign was to emphasize and accentuate people about the need of safe road travel by observing simple rules. A ccording to the information, it has been noted that approximately one lakh people lose their lives per year in the road accidents. Or some of them suffer from life threatening problems such as mental trauma, loss of memory, loss of hand or legs. It increases the importance of road safety measures. India has a very huge volume of traffic and commuters, so it is very important to make people aware of the safety measures and road pollution brewing from the huge volume of traffic. Tomorrow, September 1st we celebrate the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation , a day proclaimed by the Orthodox Church in 1989 and established in the Catholic Church by Pope Francis in 2015. The Holy Father encourages us to join him, and millions of other Christians around the world, to pray and “reaffirm [our] personal vocation to be stewards of creation, to thank God for the wonderful handiwork which he has entrusted to our care, and to implore his help for the protection of creation as well as his pardon for the sins committed against the world in which we live.” This past Sunday, Pope Francis described the event as, “an opportunity to strengthen the common commitment to safeguard life, respecting the environment and nature.” Catholic Climate Covenant also sent this press release to media around the nation.  In it, Dan Misleh shares some of his thoughts about the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. En el colegio Jesús María de Córdoba, Argentina, en el día del Educador Católico, tuvimos la oportunidad de profundizar las Prioridades de Jesús María para estos seis años. INSTITUTO MEXICANO REGINA MODEL UNITED NATIONS IX EDITION On February 4, 2016 we held the 9th edition of IMRMUN (Instituto Mexicano Regina Model United Nations). The MUN is a simulation of UN sessions in which students assume the role of diplomats, representing various nations, debating, and reaching consensus to solve the problems currently affecting our planet. The conference is spoken entirely in English. To achieve this, our students conducted prior research that allowed them to have a better view of the country, to find workable solutions represented in an atmosphere of cooperation, and tolerance that would promote peace and justice.
