Nous sommes bien conscients de l’impossibilité de maintenir le niveau actuel de consommation des pays les plus développés et des secteurs les plus riches des sociétés, où l’habitude de dépenser et de jeter atteint des niveaux inédits. Déjà les limites maximales d’exploitation de la planète ont été dépassées, sans que nous ayons résolu le problème de la pauvreté. 28. L’eau potable et pure représente une question de première importance, parce qu’elle est indispensable pour la vie humaine comme pour soutenir les écosystèmes terrestres et aquatiques. Les sources d’eau douce approvisionnent des secteurs sanitaires, agricoles et de la pêche ainsi qu’industriels....

International Water Day was celebrated on 22 nd of March,2017 in the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Murree.  The hall was beautifully decorated according to the theme.  English and Urdu speeches were read.  Children of Classes 3, 4, and 5 performed to Water Day songs.  This year a power point was shown to the children as a means to teach them how to conserve water and to avoid severe water shortages in the future.  It was very beneficial to the students as well as the teachers.

TRAVAIL AVEC LES FONDATIONS LE 9 JUIN 2016, Sœur Diane Fortier partait pour l’Équateur, pays secoué par des tremblements de terre. Quelques laïques et Sœur Jocelyne Belzile sont venues la rejoindre pour vivre un projet humanitaire à Cojimies, petit village de pêcheurs sur la côte du Pacifique. Grâce aux Fondations : Rotary, Roncalli, Jean Coutu, Secours Tiers-Monde, Juntos Mejor et grâce aussi aux dons de laics engagés : Collège Jésus-Marie de Sillery, Elsa Quiroz, Pilar Maldonado, nous avons réalisé les projets et les activités suivantes : ¤ Réparation de maisons endommagées par les tremblements de terre ¤ Achat de maisons en bambou pour quelques familles ¤ 22 salles de bain extérieures ¤ Jeux avec les enfants du quartier Los Ceibos, quartier   marginalisé de Cojimies Le projet d’eau du village de Pueblo Nuevo à 4 kilomètres de Cojimies est complété grâce à la Fondation Rotary. The Primary School gave the message of a pollution free world  with the help of a colourful programme - It was an eye opener as it showed the various ways in which the earth is exploited and increased pollution levels that are a potential threat to ourselves and the life around us. The school celebrated “EARTH DAY” . Each class had prepared a song, a speech or an action song on the theme. The Head girl in her speech mentioned the history and the importance of this day. At the end every one took a pledge to keep the environment, school and class rooms clean and tidy. The earth is our home and we must take care of it not only for ourselves but for our coming generations too. “TOGATHER WE CAN” KEEP OUR COUNTRY SIDE BEAUTIFUL  SAVING WATER, LAND AND AIR. THIS IS OUR PLANET TO SHARE. The world is such a lovely place. We’re in it together. We’re in it together for ever and ever. Let us care for our common home!!!
