NOUS ENGAGER POUR LA JUSTICE, LA PAIX ET L’INTÉGRITÉ DE LA CRÉATION Animation au Collège Dina-Bélanger (Saint-Michel de Bellechasse) Le 22 février , le 16 mars et le 15 avril 2016 , Sœur Jacqueline Poulin , membre du comité JPIC,   a rencontré 10 groupes de jeunes de la 1 ère à la 5 e secondaire pour leur présenter un power point en lien avec la 3 e priorité du chapitre général.   Ce power point consistait à montrer, à travers le JM international, la mission des Religieuses de Jésus-Marie en lien avec la justice, la paix et l’intégrité de la création.   Nous avons présenté des éléments intéressants dans chaque région de la Congrégation : Afrique, Asie, Amériques et Europe. On 3 Priorities of the 36 th General Chapter The theme ‘Making Difference’ highlighted the third priority of our Mother Foundress. Children put up an endearing play on this issue. A shadow play introduced the topic where parents were made aware of how we humans have destroyed and exploited this beautiful earth created by God. Students from Std. 5 to 10 put up a street play where children faced problems due to pollution on the road. A classroom scene was created where students gave various suggestions on how they could reduce waste in school. An endearing enaction by small children brought out the harsh reality of how human beings are encroaching on the rights of animals by spreading their habitat and cutting down forest. Awareness was created for conserving our environment and learning to become responsible citizens. That’s what all our larger education goals are about. Durante questi primi cinque mesi di scuola, ci sono state delle iniziative sui temi proposti dal Capitolo Generale JM. Il Teatro delle classi II medie, dal titolo “Forza Venite Gente” (musical) è stato dedicato alla figura di San Francesco di Assisi. E’ stato indetto un Certamen Flaminium, ossia una gara di latino per ragazzi del liceo, alla quale hanno partecipato ragazzi sia dell’Istituto Gesù-Maria, sia di altri licei di Roma e dintorni, con la traduzione di un brano di Seneca, relativo alla giustizia e alla solidarietà. I ragazzi delle medie hanno lavorato alla realizzazione di disegni su San Francesco e ad un grande pannello sul Cantico delle Creature. E’ stata indetta una gara di scrittura creativa, alla quale hanno partecipato numerosi i ragazzi del ginnasio e delle medie, con poesie dedicate al tema.

LIVING A LIFE THAT IS COMMITTED  TO JUSTICE, PEACE AND INTEGRITY OF CREATION IN LAGOS, NIGERIA This year, we have already contacted a priest who is well vast in the Social Doctrine of the Church in Lagos to help us out with the formation on Social Doctrine of the church and he was very kind to accept our request. He is only waiting for our schedule. We hope this formation will be programmed to go on for the whole year if possible. For us again, this “entails a commitment which requires a gradual and systematic assimilation of the Social Doctrine of the Church (SDC) in order to discern God’s call in the challenges of the social reality and in the responses which need to be given thereby promoting the values of justice, peace and integrity of creation (Cf. General Objective , n. 49)”We can only offer what we have and so, if we know better or we are better informed, we will no doubt be able to offer others better services also. LIVING A LIFE THAT IS COMMITTED  TO JUSTICE, PEACE AND INTEGRITY OF CREATION IN LAGOS, NIGERIA For us here in the Delegation of Africa, living this 3 rd priority like the other priorities continues to be a continuous call and challenge. The beautiful thing is that, we are all making little but steady efforts in living it out. The numerous needs in this area cannot discourage us. Each community, every year commits herself in living it out in the little ways they can. As we wait for other communities to send in their reports on how they are doing this, I will go ahead to share with you about Lagos which I am more aware of. Already at the Delegation level, we had drawn out and committed ourselves to how we are going to live this priority. Durante el mes de julio y agosto más de 400 jóvenes de la provincia de Argentina y Uruguay estuvieron misionando 25 escuelas rurales de la zona de Tres Isletas, Chaco. Es una zona que en los últimos años ha sido desmontada para la siembra de soja provocando grandes cambios climáticos negativos. Por eso este año se realizó un pequeño proyecto de reforestación que consistió en la plantación de 500 plantines de algarrobo, una especie autóctona del lugar. Durante la misión, los chicos visitan todas las familias del lugar, con las que comparten la vida y la fe. Este año compartimos también el plantar juntos este arbolito y apostar juntos por la vida. Ha sido una experiencia muy linda que nos ha lanzado a rezar juntos por esta nueva vida y a comprometernos por seguir cuidando la vida que nace.
